Emissions Inventory: Free app for states by Aaron Smith, 26. Feb 2004 17:33

Greetings all, Idaho has completed version 1.0 of it's Emissions Inventory application. This allows companies to come in via the web and report EI data via forms.

We have created viewlet demos that will give you a pretty good idea of how it looks and feels, they can be viewed here:

http://www.deq.state.id.us/air/ei/Links/Tutorial/index.html <-- This is the main training demo
http://www.deq.state.id.us/air/ei/Links/Tutorial2/index.html <- Stacks and Points training demo.

It is currently using MSSQL, and being ported to Oracle once our 10G instance it up and running. We've tried to code it to run under MSSQL, Oracle, and MySQL. It no longer will support access. We are working to have it export XML for datafeeds to the EPA. It requires ColdFusion MX 6.1 application server. We spent about 2 months developing it purely in CFML.

The about page: http://www.deq.state.id.us/air/ei/about.cfm
The contact page: http://www.deq.state.id.us/air/ei/contact.cfm
The legal mumbo jumbo for other states wishing to use the app:

Please reply with some comments, I am curious as to what others think.
