Just wondering who else might be using the NGN out there.  We've hit a little bit of a road block with getting it configured and I'm wondering what solutions others have found.

To be more specific, the following is a snippet of the error I get when using the admin tool:

javax.servlet.ServletException: RMI lookup for service [rmi://localhost:1199/cdx-core2/DataflowService] failed; nested exception is java.rmi.NotBoundException: cdx-core2/DataflowService

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Jennifer

Jennifer,

I've been trying the NGN node out also and finding the same error as you did in trying to use the node administration.

javax.servlet.ServletException:
org.springframework.remoting.RemoteLookupFailureException:
RMI lookup for service [rmi://localhost:1199/cdx-core2/DataflowService] failed;
nested exception is java.rmi.NotBoundException: cdx-core2/DataflowService

I can only imagine that it has something to do with the value below found in ngn-generic-config.xml but I can't find a file cdx-core2-mappings.xml anywhere.

<value>cdx-core2-mappings.xml</value>

As far as where were are here....

I have been able to get NodePing to respond using the test tool
http://epacdxnode.csc.com/
and this url with my local ip address replacing local host
http://localhost:8080/cdx-enws10-web-0.20/services/NetworkNodePortType_V10?wsdl

But Authenticatication with the cdx test user fails with this
soapenv:ServerAn internal error occurred.cdx.wsdlE_InternalErrorAn internal error occurred.
and no messages in the log file.

If time permits could you let me know how you're making out. We're in the process of choosing node software here and everything is helpful at this point!

Thanks!

Ian

We recently managed to put ngn on tomcat in Florida.  Our server of choice is Oracle, which is having problem deploying all the WARs.
I am currently trying to figure out how to using the demo that came with the ngn software.  Anyone have success in setting up the demo?

Thanks,
Charles Li
